Kick for Hope is designed to have global impact by raising aid for proven charities managing relief projects in Africa. In its inaugural year, over 1,300 children participated to raise $25,000 for charity. View the flash program above to learn how the funds were used through the individual charities.
Kick for Hope is also designed to impact the personal growth of each player participating in Kick for Hope tournaments. Personal growth is accomplished by raising awareness of global poverty and disease among players, their families and the soccer community in general. Players are asked review the charities we support and decide as a team which project(s) will receive their entry fee. Through this process they will become engaged in the cause, so when they step on the field to play, their purpose is not just to win, but to save lives. As a result, players will gain a sense of significance that only comes from helping another person in need.
